SWEET BUTTERFLY
Project Sweet Butterfly and Andrea's Care Packages were created to honor the memory of our daughter Andrea Victoria Alicea-Santiago. Andrea was suffering from a seizure disorder and muscle weakness since birth.
Our Sweet Butterfly went back to Heaven on January 23, 2010 after 3 weeks in the Intensive Care of Medical City Children's Hospital of Dallas.

Here is a bit of the story thru the blog of her aunt Margaret.

ABOUT US
OUR MISSION
To bring a little of God's love to caregivers or parents of Pediatric ICU patients.
Caregivers need help too. We are driven to provide for those caregivers that often forget their own needs and well-being, while looking after their child patient.

WHY WE DO THIS?
We have been there. Our beautiful Andrea Victoria was a frequent patient due to a muscular condition and a seizure disorder. We often ran to the hospital with her, but found other parents with their young ones.
Often caregivers neglect themselves to care for their children. Sometimes family or friends are too far to help even with the basics. Andrea's Care Packages, help in those first 24-48 hours.
CARING: IT´S WHAT WE MUST DO!
Emergencies put a stop to the hustle and bustle of life. They come unannounced and do not ask for permision, nor wait for preparedness. PSB cannot mend the situation, but we strive to help the caregivers to have a few less things to worry about.
